I can't see anything chinese on it at all or anything which appears to bloating any memory etc.

It's the last item listed on that link page but here's the actual download URL

Cheers for the link (downloading now), I know there was links on the the page you posted, but I wanted to eliminate any variables and made sure I was looking at the update script you had used.

As for bloatware, I was taking about useless apps and such, maybe @suggsy89 was taking about something different to me, not sure there.

@rayhertford - I have looked at the update script and yes I was right (mostly) seems there is was a lot more missing from the ICS rom than I 1st thought and quite a few other files and apps added too. Does look like a very very good update script and needed for this ICS rom, (also well documented). However the build.prop I could tweak to open up Market (Play) just that bit more and to optimise the Excel/Tablo to its max performance potential.

Hi Charlie

Well that sounds most interesting. I'll leave my tab as it is for the moment as it now meets, (for the 1st time since I've owned it), everything I wanted and more importantly everything works correctly.

I have bigger issues now, I bought a 10" Zenithink ZT280 C91 Upgrade tab and can't get the BBC iPlayer to work on it at all. I could do with similar script to this one, for the Zenithink tab!

No worries, as the saying goes "If it ain't broke...". Thanks again for the info' and I'm glad you have your tablet the way you like it :D

As for iPlayer on the Zen, I don't know. iPlayer is very hormonal at the best of times on any tablet/phone

I don't know TBH I don't have an Extreme, but I find the Excel to be very good indeed and there has been some great dev/mod work done for it by Fonefixer (RIP), suggys89, Mitre, buleeagle69, fun_ (over at XDA for CWM), other forum members on here and myself. (sorry if I missed anyone here)

Quick question, how do I run the script after updating the firmware?

Hi Mike

Download the superuser zipped file on the download link posted earlier. Unzip the files, read the "Read me" file and follow the instructions. I've cut a summary from it below.

Installation guide:

1. Connected your Allwinner A10 tablet to the PC.
2. Make sure your Allwinner A10 is plugged in with USB debugging enabled.
Goto Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
3. Set your display sleep to 30mins
Goto Settings > Display > Sleep > 30mins
3. Run/double-clicked "fullmarket" (.bat file)
----> choose "a. Complete script installation."
4. After installation is complete, press any key to reboot the tablet.
5. Unplug the USB cable when the tablet started reboot. (Reboot make take a little longer.)
6. Remember to set back display sleep time.. if you want.

Just an update...
I followed this to the letter, just to see what the deal was, as a result the script seemed to remove the Market or "Play Store" completly after the flash...
Just rebooted to check and it still isnt there...
Had to push it with ADB, need to check if the script has an error...

Nope, its okay... Very odd...

Worked fine for me, top stuff :)

Would be good to see a list of the optional apps it installs... (it may exist and I missed it) but to be fair, you can just uninstall the ones you don't want! :)
