Hi Frimo/Mark,

I don't want to bang on about all the many reasons why, but I would advise you to not by a plasma and instead buy an LED TV. (technically an LED LCD TV). I've had LCD, Plasma and LED, and LED beats the others. Plasmas give you a big screen for a small(ish) price.. YES I'll give you that much... but they get very warm/hot, many of them hum/buzz when warm, they use more electric, are very heavy, suffer from the 'plain bow' effect, and screen burn (to certain degrees). I'm not just spouting stuff i've heard or read online, it's personal experience over many years. I'd also strongly suggest you avoid Samsung as a brand on the whole. I know many people have different experiences and may totally disagree with me - and thats all fine - I won't be getting into any arguments over this - this is just my advice, and you're more than welcome to take it or leave it. I won't buy a plasma again. :)

fast sport on lcd backlit with LED or not cannot at this moment in time match the latest plasma screens as i said before you must choose wisely as indeed some plasmas do indeed buzz (Not my Panny) burn through has been sorted on the newer plasma screens
